My career in the wellness sector started over 30 years ago as a registered nurse in Edinburgh. Then over ten years ago I set up Let’s Talk Menopause to provide educational sessions across all sectors for multiple organisations and within the community.
After several years I realised how much I missed giving ‘hands on’ treatment. Reflexology provides an invaluable option for anyone experiencing menopausal symptoms, and understanding how effective treatments can be, it was a natural progression to train as a reflexologist. I’ve also completed additional specialist training for the menopause with Sally Earlam, head of training and education for the Association of Reflexologists. I’m passionate about taking a holistic approach to health and I love seeing the positive results from giving reflexology which is such a restorative treatment. I’m a member of the Association of Reflexologists and the British Menopause Society, and regularly attend lecture days to stay up to speed with the latest evidence based findings. I’m also the author of Men…Let’s Talk Menopause, a concise and comprehensive book which provides a simple guide for men who may be wondering what on earth is happening to the women in their lives! It’s also useful for women to read too! I am married with 3 children, 2 dogs and a cat and live in the beautiful Scottish Borders. When not working I can be found usually out for a cycle, socialising with friends, playing tennis or pickle ball! I also drink a lot of tea…and the odd G&T! Treatments: Reflexology for Menopause |
