Welcome to our recently launched male reproductive and fertility assessment service. You may have found us because you are concerned about your own fertility and the health and quality of your semen, or you might be the partner of someone who hasn’t yet been tested but would like to find out more about male reproductive health and the quality of a semen sample. Either way, welcome!
Our mission
Almost 100% of our new fertility enquiries come from women. However, 50% of a potential new baby comes from the man. In our experience, women take more responsibility for the fact they are having difficulty conceiving, so they are the ones who start investigating what can be done to improve their chances. NHS tests are only started when you have been trying to conceive for at least a year. So that can be a long, lonely year of disappointment each month, and sometimes couples then discover that the issue lies with the male partner, and could have been addressed much sooner.
We feel that not enough emphasis is given to male fertility, and we want to change that. We would like to empower individuals and couples on their journey to parenthood. We strive to break down barriers and stigmas surrounding male reproductive health, offering a welcoming and supportive environment for all. We would encourage men to have a semen analysis early on in their journey of trying to conceive, to rule out any potential issues, and discover ways in which they could improve their sperm health.
2024 saw the launch of our semen assessment and comprehensive male reproductive health service. As Scotland’s only clinic – and, in fact, the only one north of Leeds – to use this state-of-the-art equipment, we are committed to redefining the standards of excellence in male fertility diagnostics and care.

Our Services
We offer a comprehensive male fertility assessment which includes:
- Semen Assessment
Accurate and detailed sperm testing to evaluate fertility potential, providing you with a comprehensive semen analysis. This is similar to NHS testing but without the waiting time. Results are discussed with you immediately, then sent in PDF and also video format. We use LensHooke®, a fully automated and user-friendly microscopic semen quality analyser that can easily determine all of the critical semen quality parameters such as pH, sperm count/concentration, motility, and morphology. - Oxidative Stress Analysis
Currently not available on the NHS, this test will measure the level of oxidative stress in your body, which can affect your ability to conceive. We use a machine called MiOXSYS to provide a rapid diagnostic semen analysis that accurately measures oxidative stress. - Fertility Consultation
Based on your results from both of these tests, we will discuss next steps and provide recommendations such as lifestyle changes, dietary advice and supplements which may help to improve your fertility status and increase your chances of conceiving naturally or having a successful cycle of assisted conception such as IVF. We will also refer you to trusted andrologists if we think this is necessary.
